“BUDS, initially formed as a communal group in 1986, became a registered charity in 2000. BUDS has a multifaceted mission providing education and foster care support to children, livelihood opportunities, supporting the elderly, low-cost housing initiatives, addressing malnutrition, and conducting drug awareness and prevention programs for the deprived community in the Eastern part of Sri Lanka.
