“The AWSA's task is to encourage service personnel to participate in Winter Sports; to develop skills in a chosen sport; to test themselves in demanding conditions, thereby fostering self-discipline, fitness, courage and teamwork. Winter Sports contribute directly to military output & fighting spirit, are an essential part of decompression from ops and remain an element of the moral component.
